Sometimes, when a parrot is involved in the menagerie and they can speak in the voice of their previous owner (who is an older guy with a very deep voice)....You can be softly awoken in the middle of the night thinking you have an intruder whos shouting random things at you such as "JACKY BOYYYY!" or perhaps the bleeps of a radar followed by a muffled radio conversation about things you dont understand. Its amazing how fast you can sit up and give yourself whiplash when in the throes of wild panic.
When you're in the middle of nowhere and are rushing to unpack/repack for the next sit you may realize that the only flip flops you took with you, were two right ones from different pairs. There is no solution to this except just wearing them.
Sometimes when wearing two right flip flops of different sizes, you might face plant several times over the back door step. Being force fed the countryside foliage at high speed velocity can be abrasive to the neck, chin and occasionally elbows.
When tripping in ill fitting footwear, you might also note that lesions can be acquired by the extra hazard of outdoor dog tethers wrapping around your ankles as dogs rush out of the door. Always pack a good antiseptic for such occasions.
When cleaning out a parrots palace, and sliding the droppings tray back under their cage nice and shiny, they might aid you by flipping a whole bowl of their fresh food over into the tray and then pooping on it to make it look pretty again. This should be seen as a gift and you should smile and show gratitude as you clean the tray a second time.
When getting up for the cat for the 23rd time as its meowing at you be let in its room. You might want to check its not just the parrot having a laugh and mimicking the cat.
This also goes for when you hear the dogs whimpering to go out.
Some houses do have outstanding views though.
